Android 4.4 (Kitkat) Launch Date :

All rumors pointed to an October 14 launch date for android 4.4 but a latest news from google developer suggested 15th October will be final launch date for this version. However,If all prediction's goes right we are about to see android's 4.4 in market shortly. Google might launch both android 4.4 and Nexus 5 in the next coming week of October.

Android 4.4 (kitkat) Features :

1. New Location setting : shown leaked image tells the story, the Android 4.4 KitKat will come up with a new location settings menu which contains a simplified layout. also renamed as location mode , this will offer three different modes at the place of available different selectors for each tool related with location.

2. Android 4.3 Jelly featured additional languages : ( Afrikaans, Hindi and Zulu ) all supports the home screen,settings and phone and more applications.

yes, its good news for all Indian's, android's 4.4 version will be available in Hindi language as well .

3. Better signal support : yes android 4.4 will be having a better signal support then the older version's.

4. Light weight on the RAM : since we all know 512RAM can run perfectly on Android 4.0 , 4.1 version but if we'll try to update it it's hardly possible. 

So now android 4.4 is coming with lighter weight so that it might be possible that it can be easily updated even in the devices having 256 MB of RAM..

5. Latest Stable services : Android 4.4 OS will have Google services like Play Store, Gmail, YouTube, Google+ and Hangout's as well (which currently rumored as a new app for messaging ) Gmail, YouTube and more, If Hangouts support older versions of android then it will be a plus bonanza for old android OS user's as well.
 

6. Better User interface  : User's will have a better experience with smoother animations and Screen orientation transition,
